Avs Game Recap

This is my return to the blog I so frivolously tried to start over the summer.  So here goes:

Game number Number 67
Colorado Avalanche Vs. Nashville Predators

Coming into last nights game the Avalanche were tied for eighth place in the west and fighting for a spot in the playoffs.  With in the first two minutes of the game, Roman Josi was made to look like the rookie he is.  It only took the Preds a minute and forty seconds to respond with their own goal.  From that point on, the Preds dominated the play.

The Preds dominated the offensive zone out shooting the Avs by fourteen shots (31-17).  They dominated the defensive zone forcing most shots to come from the outside.  When the Avs did get chances Pekka Rinne was fantastic and Ryan Suter had a big save of his own.

This game had a playoff air to it, hard hitting, bad blood and a great amount of physicality. The fact of the matter is, the Preds handled it and handled it with confidence.
